There were more divorced people in 2021 than in 2020, so numbers may need to be adjusted somewhat. A close friend of mine was a "lockdown divorce" and when I mentioned her situation to another friend, that friend said "Oh my gosh -- she needs to get a lawyer immediately -- so many people are getting divorced, most of the lawyers are completely booked already." This was in May 2020 in a hard lockdown state. (Come to think of it... would be interesting to compare divorce increases in hard lockdown states vs. Florida.)
Doesn't accidents include accidental overdoses? Could some of these be deaths of despair or actual suicide but without sufficient evidence they are just classed as accidents? That's my thought about the 2020 accidents.
I'm too woozy to respond to all your points at the moment, but I did start looking through the individual accidents, it's a bit harder to tally cuz there are so many different individual CoD's behind accidents
So I just looked, you/freelearner are right, accidental deaths excess is mostly Fentanyl, but there is still a signal for non-Fentanyl excess accident deaths, just not as monumental.

Theory: the widowers are older gentleman (men from a bygone era) who aren't being pressured by their wives to get a vaccine they are skeptical of! I know my dad has virtually no choice on these issues if he wishes to remain happily married to my mom. The now-single men are staying vax-free and might yet have the oppty to supply vax-free sperm to younger ladies (also vax-free) who need a partner for reproduction ;).

State immunization registry as far as I know is not public records
This is all very interesting. What stands out to me though is just the simple chart that shows "all cause mortality" for the past five or six years. 2021 was 6,648 total deaths and the average from the pre-pandemic years was about 5,700. So there was an increase in all deaths of almost 1,000 deaths. This was AFTER people started getting the Covid vaccine (the "vaccine" that is at least supposed to protect against death). It's a massive increase that shouldn't be there.
What constitutes an accidental death? I wonder how accurate these data gathering systems really are. Crunching numbers means nothing if the data bases are flawed. As we have seen throughout the last almost 3 years, any numbers related to covid anything are highly suspect. But I see the trends and no one (trusted medical authority, if these is such an animal) has any truthful explanations. Thanks for the info.
100%, there is a tremendous amount of errors, incompetence, and possibly outright fraud. But it doesn't kill the usefulness or render meaningless the data. Will write article explaining utility of DC data soon hopefully (when I feel up to it).
Can you separate widows from widowers? I see them as being potentially different.
Similar in that they were capable of stable-enough relationships and orderly-enough households to remain married until death. (not exact, some remain while being very unhappy, but still)
Possibly different in that the women are likely to be somewhat younger than their husbands, with longer statistical life expectancies, so more likely on those bases and because of sex roles to be a direct caregiver of an ill husband. She likely has the characteristics from the 'similarity' comparison above and upon the death of her husband is now free to care for herself alone, likely successfully. (generalizing, but there's often truth in stereotypes, and I've had some relatives and patients to observe over the years)

In most cases, it doesn't appear to me that the numbers of "excess" deaths are statistically significant. Certainly not for accidental deaths over again 65, for example. Excel will do that test for you, btw.
VAERS data indicates a low, but non-trivial, risk of syncope (loss of consciousness) following high reactogenicity vaccines. Syncope is counter indicated for driving, operating heavy machinery, being in high places (e.g., roofing) for a minimum for at least one to two days. The same pattern also occurs in VAERS for other serious adverse events (see topic of this post), etc.
Ins companies won't pick up the cost. Makes them Liable to.

Accident rise is driven largely by drug ODs. Motor vehicle accident deaths were up too.
Fall deaths are always a pretty big source of accident deaths among the elderly. If I’m not mistaken, those were up in 2021, nationally

You can't disaggregate into tiny cohorts until you void statistical significance and then put it back together again ;))
Not to put too fine a point on it but lockdown (isolation) could also influence consciousness in a way that causes accident.
