At least the pharmacists emailed the prescribing doctors to let them know it might be a bad idea to prescribe opioids and benzodiazepines together even as they continued to fill the prescriptions
Good post. I had an angry exchange with a local pharmacist here in California. He tried in multiple ways not to give me ivermectin, or not to give me the full prescription. I would have none of it. Luckily it was early on in the virus spread, and pharmacists hadn't banded together yet.
And they wonder why we are losing trust in these people, institutions and agencies. My best policy is to avoid all big pharma drugs as best as I am able and to seek out alternatives and there are some very good ones. So far so good in my early 70's it don't even take aspirin or tylenol. Thanks for an excellent article, as usual.
As retired Trauma NP I (rarely) did prescribe opioids with benzodiazepines ie for back injuries when pain & muscle spasms were an issue. Usually I tended to go with muscle relaxers such as robaxin or soma. As for ivm & hcq itβs unconscionable for any pharmacist to refuse to fill rx. That veers into practicing medicine which theyβre not qualified to do. These are not scheduled medications but politics overrode normal practice sadly.
They love the power trip.

Thereβs absolutely no shame these days.

Great essay, thank you!
